# Discover the Power of AU-1 Window and Door Sealant with Pauley Plastic
At Pauley Plastic, we're proud to resell top-quality products like **AU-1 Window and Door Sealant** from TOWER Sealants. This elastomeric urethane acrylic sealant is a game-changer for construction professionals, offering unmatched durability, ease of use, and eco-friendly performance. Whether you're installing windows or sealing doors, AU-1 delivers superior results that stand the test of time. Here's why AU-1 is the go-to choice for your next project.
## Why Choose AU-1 Window and Door Sealant?
AU-1 is designed with cutting-edge technology to outperform traditional polyurethane and other sealants. Its **internally plasticized composition** eliminates the need for plasticizers, ensuring no leaching occurs. This unique feature provides:
- **High elasticity and adhesion** across all climates, maintaining performance in extreme weather.
- **Superior paintability** without bleeding through or creating tacky surfaces.
- **Eco-friendly benefits**, as it’s free of plasticizers and has low VOC emissions, meeting CARB and SCAQMD requirements.
Once applied, AU-1 forms an **airtight and water-resistant seal**, offering exceptional protection against environmental conditions. Its **UV resistance** ensures it won’t discolor over time, and it remains mold and mildew resistant after curing, making it ideal for both interior and exterior applications.
## Easy Application, Exceptional Results
AU-1 is engineered for efficiency, saving you time and money on the job site. Its user-friendly design means:
- **No mixing or priming** is required, simplifying preparation.
- **Easy to apply and tool**, with quick cleanup using soap and water.
- **Versatile adhesion** to most common building substrates, including vinyl, brick, stucco, and more.
For best results, ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of contaminants, with temperatures between 40°F and 140°F during application. Use a backer rod or bond breaker tape to prevent 3-point adhesion, and tool the caulk within 15 minutes for a smooth, professional finish.
## Available in Convenient Packaging
Pauley Plastic offers AU-1 in a variety of packaging options to suit your project needs:
- **Cartridges**: Perfect for smaller jobs or precise applications.
- **Sausages**: Ideal for reducing waste and disposal costs, vacuum-sealed for maximum product yield.
- **Pails**: Re-sealable for larger projects, ensuring no product goes to waste.
TOWER Sealants maintains a robust inventory, with lead times as fast as 5 days, so you can stay on schedule without supply chain delays.
## A Sealant Built to Last
AU-1 meets **ASTM C-920, Type S, Grade NS, Class 25** standards, ensuring high performance and durability. Its **24-month shelf life** when stored properly (unopened, away from heat, and protected from freezing) makes it a reliable choice for long-term projects. Once cured, AU-1 maintains flexibility and adhesion, even under dynamic mechanical stress, with a service temperature range of -40°F to 180°F.
